What is this famous project? Surely calling all projects projects is a big mistake? As long as they have a beginning, an end, a purpose and bring about change then absolutely not! Both the implementation of a new production line in a factory and a local student government initiative fully meet the definition of a project! And since these types of projects are everywhere – it is worth getting interested in them as early as possible.

Our entire workshop is designed to simulate the creation of an Erasmus+ youth international exchange project
or a local youth initiative (depending on the age group).

Assumptions:

  • working in groups
  • case study analysis
  • specific tools (SWOT, SMART, etc.).
  • putting knowledge into practice
  • an example of a project adapted to the age of the participants

Results:

  • increase the level of key competencies in today’s labor market: cooperation in a group, effective communication, planning, setting and achieving goals
  • Increased knowledge of the basics of project management
  • stimulate the creativity and ingenuity of participants
  • An overall increase in competence resulting in a greater degree of student involvement in their local community.

Since projects surround us from all sides, why not give youngsters a chance to practice these skills already in school?

Often one can encounter long and tedious lectures by presenters on soft skills. It is as if a training course with the title “every activity can be conducted in the form of a game” was organized in a lecture form. We consider this type of approach to be a complete negation of the idea of…

Verbal and non-verbal communication, emotional intelligence, teamwork, creativity, or conflict resolution skills are just a few examples. What they have in common is that they can only be developed by practicing and exposing oneself to new situations, getting out of one’s comfort zone and breaking down one’s own barriers.

Assumptions:

  • The workshop is based on a series of fun, games and simulations designed to create situations in which participants must communicate and cooperate effectively to achieve a common goal.
  • Workshop scenarios can be tailored to conduct exercises that focus specifically on the specific skills you care most about (such as group cooperation).
  • We are expanding the workshop for teachers to include a more extensive reflection section, a deeper awareness of the learning process, a joint discussion and attention to the most important aspects of conducting this type of competency workshop.

Results:

  • increase the level of key competencies in today’s labor market: cooperation in a group, effective communication, planning, setting and achieving goals
  • Increased awareness in the context of psychosocial competence
  • stimulate the creativity and ingenuity of participants
  • group integration

The “Active Youth” workshop focuses on making young people aware of existing programs that support youth social activities, and stimulating their creativity in developing ideas for youth social activities.

During the classes we tell, among other things, about national and international volunteer programs, NGOs supporting grassroots initiatives, or grant programs funding the implementation of ideas created by informal groups of young people. In the case of secondary schools, we can also expand the whole thing to include information on studying and working within the common market of EU member states, the Erasmus+ program, or domestic and foreign internships.

Assumptions:

  • The informational part is conducted in the form of short games with subsequent discussion and structuring of the acquired knowledge.
  • Part two of the workshop is the so-called creative part, during which the students, using the knowledge they acquired earlier, create ideas in groups for local youth initiatives.
  • The class is an opportunity to talk to students from various fields of study and people who have personally participated in projects that support youth social activities.

Results:

  • Raise awareness of available opportunities
  • increase the level of key competencies: cooperation in a group, effective communication, planning, setting and achieving goals
  • increase in social activity of young people
  • stimulate the creativity and ingenuity of participants
  • group integration
